Clinical Supervision

I have experience in the social work field in various capacities: oncology in an outpatient medical setting, supportive housing for individuals and families at risk of homelessness ( Housing First model), community mental health in an urgent care setting (FQHC using Patient Centered Medical Home model), group practice therapist, and most recently as the founder and clinical supervisor of my own private practice.

My path was always towards private practice, I just did not know it at the time. My mission and vision is increasing access to quality mental healthcare. This is the reason I founded Inspiration Point Counseling, Inc. ( named after its hike in Santa Barbara). I have gained the education, training, and experience in the field and feel confident as I am becoming the clinician and supervisor I always wanted and knew I could be. 

I am feeling proud, humbled, and fulfilled by the profession and the clients I have had the privilege to serve. I am grateful for all mentors, clinical supervisors, directors, colleagues, and supportive friends and family who have helped pave the way for me to accomplish my goals.

SUPERVISION THEMES

• Assess patients ( bio psycho socials)

• Review and reassess goals/treatment plan as needed

• Therapeutic rapport/relationship

• Transference, counter-transference

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered with the BBS (AMFT,ACSW, APCC)

• Must have interest in private practice in the future ( this part is key as we will be preparing you for licensure & private practice)

• Part-time/ (W-2 role) under Inspiration Point Counseling, Inc

• Office is in Ventura county, we will meet virtually or in office, as appropriate.
